I’m looking forward to a trip to Ontario next week to attend the Community Health Nurses of Canada Conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario. I will be presenting a paper, The Moral Work of Community Health Nursing, on Wednesday, June 21. It will be a wonderful opportunity to talk with community health nurses about moral challenges in their work. Working in public health, home health and primary care settings, community health nurses get to know people in the context of their homes and communities. I especially enjoyed that part of my work in community health nursing roles in my own career. The second edition of The Moral Work of Nursing reviews research studies about ethical concerns unique to community health nursing.
I will be stopping in Toronto on Friday, June 23 for a book signing at Indigo Spirit bookstore at Mount Sinai Hospital on University Ave. I’ll be there from 11am to 2pm.
